Bobby Angel is feverishly working …
On completing his second studio album.
Among the songs will be “Ugliest Forest.”
This song in many ways epitomizes what the Nature Folk Movement (NFM) is all about. It’s easy to feel bad about trees getting but down, but even more courageous is rising above the fray to give those trees and the creatures that depend on it a voice in the decision before everything gets cut down. Bobby Angel isn’t saying that he has all the answers, but who is else is standing up for the trees at the edge of the town. We know – and we know it all too well. Progress cannot be stopped. But how do we define progress? Bobby Angel makes a case that the little slices of wilderness at the edge of town are more important than we know or care to realize.
