This Amendment is adopted to further clarify the stewardship purpose at the heart of the Campfire Park Charter.

SECTION 1 Stewardship as Primary Purpose

Article I of the Campfire Park Charter is hereby amended to state that the primary purpose of the Campfire Park Council is to safeguard the land, the water, and the stories entrusted to its care.
All other goals—including entertainment, commerce, and spectacle—shall be considered secondary to this stewardship mandate.

This amendment was proposed in response to concerns that future councils might forget the primacy of care over growth.
