By arcane logic that only made sense in the moment, Boogie was placed in the Hotseat “to see things from the inside.” Within minutes, this proved to be both effective and deeply regrettable.

Council Lore

The Council didn’t start as thirteen. It grew there—one extra chair dragged closer to the fire every time a “temporary visitor” refused to leave. Eventually the circle settled on twelve proper seats and one Hotseat nobody truly wants.

Drawing the Embers: a quiet moment before each meeting where someone stirs the coals and names the stakes.
Seat 13 Lottery: a half-serious, half-rigged process that decides who falls into the Hotseat this time.
Cooling Walk: any member may step away once per meeting “to walk a lap around the fire” instead of storming off.
