Down by the river

Among life’s greatest rewards …

Being connected to a community ranks high.

Being close to a river is icing on the cake.

And can I just interrupt to say there’s something special about the Hudson River Valley. Ever since Thomas Cole it’s been inspiring the pursuit of an elevated state, and connected to nature. Too often in our past and even today, nature is seen as the enemy. Even our changing climate gets a bad rap. Really, the earth is just responding to us. In that respect, maybe the best way to get back in tune with the natural world is revisiting Thomas Cole’s work.

Bobby Angel discusses that and more in the interview.
