Welcome to my albums!
I’m excited to announced I just released my 3rd studio (some say “campfire”) album – Big Cypress Bound. My other two include The Green Album (2021) and New Pangaea (2020). About my albums: I produce them in the spirit of the old 33-speed vinyl records. All my songs have that telltale “vinyl crackle” … or is that just the pop and hiss of the campfire in back? More about my albums: (1) In the Nature Folk tradition, I weave story telling into my songs. Thus the songs are separated by interviews about the song where I tell what the song is about. (2) My albums are YouTube play lists. As you’ll see below, you can either listen to the full album front to back or pick out individual songs and interviews to listen, too. Just like an old vinyl record if you remember those days.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!
Big Cypress Bound (2022)
About the Album: Big Cypress Bound is Bobby Angel’s third studio (some say “campfire”) album. Big Cypress Bound picks up where The Green Album and New Pangaea left off, and this time with a twist: Could this be the singer/songwriters last album in the flooded countryside of the giant trees that he’s called his home for the past twenty odd years? Pivotal to answering this question is the interpretation of the term “bound.” The some 11 songs on the album (and the interviews afterwards) explore his connection to the Big Cypress and what may lie ahead. Or is it just a yearning for a simpler way of life? As usual, Bobby Angel lets you be the judge.

About the Album: Welcome to Bobby Angel’s second studio album, The Green Album. The some eleven (some say 12) songs that follow are a tribute to nature, and an ode to what the Nature Folk Movement (NFM) is all about. In typical Bobby Angel form, the artist wasn’t even aware he was doing a second album until, in an unexpected wave of inspiration, the final song came to life. Preserved is what the critics are calling a literary and musical masterpiece, a rare gem of a song that both summarizes and challenges everything that came before. To quote Bobby Angel, “- On songs like Preserved I’m just along for the ride. All credit goes to my muse.” Other hit songs on the album include The Lusitania – a statement song meant to unseat the Titanic as the top maritime disaster of our collective consciousness – and the haunting tale of a small patch of woods called Ugliest Forest. Bobby Angel brings it on this album, like only Bobby Angel can.

YourChannel: Wrong ShortcodeNew Pangaea (2020)
About the Album: Bobby Angel’s rocked the Nature Folk world with his debut album and masterpiece New Pangaea. Part Vinyl 33-speed LP, part live campfire event and part narrative history, Bobby Angel simultaneously rekindles and revolutionizes the album genre. Side A of New Pangaea starts where it all started with Bobby Angel – Marsha Marsha – and ends with perhaps Bobby Angel’s most inspirational ode to taking the moral high ground when it comes to fighting for and protecting nature. The songs in between provide a deeply rousing and introspective look into what it takes to live in harmony with the natural world. Remember the magic of turning over to Side B of a 33-speed Vinyl LP? And the climactic concuding song at the end? Think Bob Dylan’s Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands from Blonde on Blonde, or Jungleland at the end of Bruce Springsteen’s Born To Run. The eponymously named New Pangaea at the end of Side B does not disappoint.

About the Album: Widely known among Angelheads as “The Interview Album,” this mishmash of exclusive Bobby Angel interviews and campfire shanties covers a lot of ground. Or as we like to say around the campfire: “Throw another log on the fire!” The interview portions are primarily clips from Serena Sonnenuntergang’s breakthrough interview with the artist. In her trademark style of telepathic journalism, Ms. Sonnenuntergang helps Bobby Angel get to the bottom of what makes him and the Nature Folk Movement (NFM) click.
